The Geauga County Engineer Highway Maintenance forces maintain approximately 235 miles of county highways and 187 bridges. The Highway Maintenance Department is responsible for the continuing functionality and safety of Geauga County roads, including the issuance of driveway, hauling, highway use, and ditch enclosure permits for work in the right-of-way.
